One week down

To start this blog off, I would like to clarify something that may have been misread. I have not smoked pot at the castle. I have never smoked pot in my life (I have never smoked anything at all in my life) nor do I have any intentions to smoke while I am over here. Just because it is "legal" over here does not make it any less gross.

So anyway. Last night Blake and I almost had a heart attack because we started booking our trip for our first independent travel break to London, Ireland and Scotland, but we then found out that we had no way of getting home. Long story short Ryan Air sucks and doesn't go to enough places. We think we have it worked out now but it was really stressful.

This morning I was once again woken up to construction outside my room, however this time we looked out our window, and saw construction workers waving at us. It was sort of creepy. I woke up and got some brunch then had my first World Drama class. The professor seems really awesome. He sort of looks like a Dutch version of Tim Gunn from Project Runway. While taking attendance he spent about an hour and asked every single one of us where our families are from. He was amazed at the American culture about how we are all mixed races, cultures, etc. He told us that we are going to go see a performance of Merchant of Venice at the Globe Theatre when we are in London which makes me really really excited. So I have now completed my first week of class at Kasteel Well. I am excited for this weekend to actually get out and start traveling.

Hopefully I will have enough money to make it through this trip. Oh well, I live in a castle.
